Ingredients

1 Tuna Pocket TRATA smoked tuna
200 grams boiled chickpeas
1 small garlic clove
¼ teaspoon cumin
1 ¼ teaspoon tahini
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
50ml water from the boiled chickpeas
1 tablespoon coriander, finely chopped
Freshly ground pepper
Salt

Directions

Mash the chickpeas with the olive oil, lemon juice in the blender, add the garlic, tahini, cumin, salt, pepper and the water from the chickpeas.
Serve the hummus warm or cool with tuna and coriander.

 

 

Tips

  • You can add to your hummus 1 small grilled pepper or 100 grams grilled vegetables like carrots and cauliflower – in that case, you may need to reduce the water you will use
  • You can also embellish your serving with pine nuts or pomegranate seeds
  • Hummus with tuna is an ideal plate to share with your friends. Put it in the middle of a large tray that you can fill with Arab pita chips, rusks or  breadsticks.
